Larsen 150 years - the planning has begun
15. November 2016 | The Johannes Larsen Museum
Birgitte Kjøller has been appointed as curator during a one-year project, and is in full swing planning the 150th anniversary of Johannes Larsen.
In 2017 it will be 150 years since the birth of Johannes Larsen. This will naturally be celebrated in a big way at the Johannes Larsen Museum.
To ensure that there will be lots of activities at the museum for all of 2017, artist and educator Birgitte Kjøller has been appointed to a one-year position.
Birgitte Kjøller has extensive experience with art education and has previously been employed at the Louisiana (Museum of Modern Art), Brandt’s, the National Museum and the National Art Museum. She received her art training at the Funen Academy of Art and also has a teaching degree. While taking on the project at the Johannes Larsen Museum, she has put her graduate studies at Aarhus University on standby, where her field is creative processes and design with an experiential orientation.
In addition to the 150th anniversary, Birgitte Kjøller will also work on a series of other projects at the Johannes Larsen Museum: My Eastern Funen, Culture by Prescription and the interpretation of exhibitions.
